Followers don't matter

Quick note: If this lands in promo for you, please do me the favour of moving it to your primary, it would really help me more than you know. Thank you ;)

So, back to business.

Today I wanted to bring up a really important point that people have been talking about too much in my opinion…

Followers

To them followers are everything.

It becomes their life and their validation of their value.

First of all… that’s bullshit

Second, believing that will also destroy your mental health.

Thirdly, you are wasting your time if that is all you are chasing.

People believe that once they have 10,000 followers.

Then boom money just magically starts to appear.

Now listen.

I am not totally arrogant towards it.

As of me writing this, I have little over 53,000 followers myself.

People definitely treat me differently.

Opportunities started to show up.

People invited me to events.

But non of that came from just having a large following.

It came from the over 170 people I have been able to serve as a ghostwriter.

And as a by-product, my followers grew.

You Deserve a Better Intranet

A modern intranet like Haystack streamlines workplace operations by centralizing knowledge, communication, and resources.

Employees will no longer waste time hunting through email chains or scattered folders—they can find what they need in seconds.

With customizable templates, clear layouts, and multimedia capabilities, teams can create and share content that is easy to read, navigate, and reference. Haystack turns your intranet into an interactive, engaging resource hub that supports collaboration and knowledge retention.

Upgrading your intranet boosts efficiency across departments, reduces duplicated work, and ensures consistent, accurate information is accessible to everyone. Employees stay informed, aligned, and empowered, while leadership gains visibility into engagement and usage.

Haystack transforms your intranet from a static repository into a dynamic platform that drives productivity, connection, and culture.

So the next question remains:

KEVIN?!! WTF DO I DO!

It’s honestly very simple:

You don’t need a massive audience to make money.

You need the right audience.

Imagine you have 100 followers.

Not random people.

One hundred writers who all need a better system.

And your offer is simple.

“I build systems for agency owners.”

That is enough.

Because relevance beats reach.

It doesn’t matter if the person next to you has 50,000 followers.

If those followers are a mix of creators, traders, and fitness accounts with no interest in his offer, the numbers mean nothing.

Attention without alignment is noise.

Alignment is what pays.

This is where most people get it wrong.

They chase followers.

When they should be building an audience.

Those are not the same thing.

A following is someone who clicks follow once and forgets you exist.

An audience is someone who comes back daily to hear your perspective.

A following gets you surface metrics.

An audience drives revenue.

The people earning real money on this platform understand that.

They are not posting just to boost engagement.

They are posting to attract buyers.

Every piece of content is intentional.

They think backwards from the customer they want.

They speak directly to that person’s problems.

Their profile makes their offer obvious.

Their content builds clarity.

It builds trust.

It builds belief.

So when they release something:

A product.

A service.

A call.

The demand is already there.

One Platform. Every Product.

Build courses, coaching, communities, memberships, and more. All in one place. Kajabi gives real experts a single system to launch, sell, and scale, without juggling tools or breaking momentum.

So here is what you do:

  1. Fix your offer first.

If you are not clear on who you help, how you help them, and what result they get, start there.

Clarity comes before content.

  1. Create posts that solve real problems.

If you help agency owners, speak directly to agency owners.

Every post should either educate them, relate to their situation, or move them forward.

  1. Participate in your niche.

Do not just scroll.

Reply.

Comment where your ideal clients are already paying attention.

Add insight.

Start conversations.

Be seen.

  1. Turn your profile into a simple path forward.

Your banner should signal who it is for.

Your bio should explain what you do.

Your pinned post should reinforce the outcome.

Do not try to sound clever.

  1. Be clear.

Prioritize aligned people over big numbers.

One hundred people who know you, trust you, and need what you offer are worth more than ten thousand who feel nothing.
