Stop working with broke people

The Writing Chronicles

One key reason your sales are struggling is that you're pitching to people with no budget.

As a ghostwriter, some guy slid into my WhatsApp out of nowhere.

He asked how much I charged for a month.

My offers go for $15,000 for 10k quality followers in 10 months if you pay upfront

“Too Expensive” he said.

And he even tried to negotiate down to 1/5 of the cost

“Good joke buddy” I said

I just laughed it off and moved on.

Then, my friend Justin launched his own Community.

This guy messages me again,

asking if I’m joining.

I was, because it seemed awesome.

I asked if he was.

“Too Expensive.” he said.

It only costed $20.. but-

I let it slide.

(Starting to get what kind of a person he is?)

He DMs me this time straight on X.

He asks me AGAIN about my ghostwriting.

(In hoping that my offer would change)

Newsflash… no it didn’t.

I gave him details and even offered a monthly plan.

Instead? I got Crickets.

He completely Ghosted me.

By now, this guy was getting annoying.

This cycle kept repeating.

All I kept thinking was-

“He was a broke dude who kept expecting premium services

in hopes that an idiot business owner would feel bad”

Now you’re reading this probably thinking:

“I should’ve just cut him off.”

And you’d be right.

A lot of you reading this will think “just move on,”

But then keep chasing prospects who do the exact same thing.

They haggle, beg for discounts and will even ghost you.

But here’s my advice.

If you want to make real money, stop targeting people with empty pockets.

I’ve worked with $250 clients and even $10,000 clients.

The $10k clients?

They paid upfront,

trusted me,

and let me do my job

without asking questions.

The $500 clients?

Total headaches.

Constantly demanding more than they paid for,

trying to negotiate,

asking for the moon.

But when you work with people who have money and have money to spend.

They trust you to do the work and get on with it.

They don’t ask questions, just expect results.

So this is your sign to stop targeting people who have no money.

And work with those who have some.

You’re worth so much more than what people say about you.

worth more than what people are telling you what you should and shouldn’t do.

Stay safe and stay hard everyone!
