What to do when your Engagement sucks.

The writing Chronicles

Every so often, it happens.

You’re riding high, engagement’s popping, and then bam it falls apart.

No need to lose your cool, though.

Big strong Kevin’s got your back.

You can drag your account out of the slump.

But, you know, you actually have to move on it.

Unlike some folks who just sit there, twiddling their thumbs, letting their engagement crash and burn.

Real smart move, that one.

Here’s the lowdown on fixing your pathetic engagement levels.

The X algorithm?

Not exactly Rocket science.

It rewards people who use the platform like it’s meant to be used.

And that means being social on this social media thing.

Mind-blowing, right?

That means dropping a ton of comments.

(Yeah, I might’ve leaned into “ton” a bit hard there, not sorry.)

The algorithm eats up social behavior.

Two ways to play it: talk to people or talk at them.

That’s DMs and comments, if you’re not keeping up.

So, here’s my plan for the week.

You’re welcome to give it a shot yourself.

I’m going to churn out a huge stack of high-quality comments.

Not lazy “cool post” garbage real thoughts, actual opinions.

Like I always do. Like you should be doing.

Oh, and I’ll be tackling a ton of DMs too.

I’ve got this bad habit of reading a DM, crafting a killer reply in my head, and then… forgetting to hit send.

Whoops. So, what’s your plan when your engagement’s circling the drain?

Comments. DMs. Lots of them. Aim for 200+ high-quality comments a day.

And keep up with your DMs.

Send some, reply to some.

But don’t go too crazy with the DMs.

Spamming them will get you rate-limited, and the algorithm will peg you as a bot.

Isn’t that just hilarious?

Be social, but not too social.

Welcome to the circus.

(Make it make sense X ffs)

That’s my strategy, anyway.

I’ll report back in a week.

I might even record a live session to show you how to engage like a pro.

So, maybe keep an eye out for that.

See you tomorrow.
